Often people leave the fencing in their garden for years and years and only replace it when it starts to fall apart. You may move in to a property that has a very low or even no fence and this may be something that you want or need to change immediately. If you have young children or a dog then you will need to make sure that the fence is secure all the way around.
If done correctly a winded fence should lats around 10 year but it will need to be looked after to protect it from the elements. Replacing a fence can be back breaking work and is often very expensive. It can however make a huge difference to the appearance of the garden.
People often believe that the fence on the left of their property is their responsibility. This isn’t always true and you really need to check the land registry to find out where the boarders are.
You can replace a fence yourself, especially if the concrete posts are already in place, but you may find it hard work and often it takes two or three people to do it. If the previous fence didn’t use concrete posts, then you may want to add them in.
