Disadvantages
Brittle- Glass is a very brittle material. Some manufacturers now make the glass using tempered glass, which makes the glass houses much more shockproof. However, if you live in an area near a playfield, where there is the risk of balls hitting the glass houses, you should consider other options.
Expensive- The glass that is used for building nowadays is really expensive, especially since it is enforced for them. When compared to the other building materials, one is better off building with the conventional materials, especially if they are on tight budget.
Hard to handle- If you are one of those people that are obsessed with DIY projects, glass garden houses are not really the option for you. It gets hard to handle, and the installation must be done by a professional, otherwise it might break and end up in huge losses. Hiring a professional is no easy task either, as you will need to pay for the special handling equipment that they use.
Glass garden rooms is a welcome addition to any garden, regardless of the size or design of the garden. If you can handle the responsibilities that come with it, you are better off getting it. Your garden will never be the same again.
