Swapping your lights to LED’s

If you are looking at ways in which you could save money on your energy bills then you may wish to consider swapping all the lights in your home for LED’s. Most lights will just require you to change the bulb but some (such as built in security lights, some types of spotlights and strip lights) may need you to replace the entire unit. This is a fairly straightforward job that you should be able to do yourself but if you do not like DIY or do not want the hassle then you could call in an electrician to come and install them for you.

On average an LED light should last around 30,000 hours and some even come with a 5-year warranty. Although they are more expensive to buy to start with, over the years you should make more than the difference back in the running costs and cost of replacing the bulb.

If you own a large business premises or are the head at a school then it is even more important that you make the switch to LED as not only will it save you at lot of money each year it is also more environmentally friendly.
